Lady M lives in Paris and works in France and abroad.
After studying interior and stage design, she joins the Opéra de Paris in 2006 as a set designer. Working alongside the greatest stage designers and exploring all sorts of colors and texture techniques, she develops her professionalism, her creativity and her personal style. Inspired by this experience, she is naturally drawn towards large scale formats.
Street art comes as a possibility for her to live out new experiences. Emilie Sajot becomes Lady M. In 2015, she takes part in her first outdoor project and fully dedicates herself to her career as a visual artist.
She continues to push forth in her artistic research, both on canvas and on walls, utilising textures, colors and geometry as a source of inspiration.
Through controlled intuition, Lady M’s compositions raise the notion of space: a surrealistic dream world, halfway between abstraction and figuration, called “figurative abstraction”.
Inspired by this spatial element, she repositions mankind into an environment in perpetual mutation, seeking for an horizon, a landmark that could justify its presence. Whenever she works in public spaces, Lady M’s creations become an escape, a breath of fresh air, a vortex providing a veritable gateway to the spiritual realm.
Her work is a contemporary staging where the artist creates her very own set.
